Pam did not brush off my daughter’s thoughts as teenage drama and Pam gave the best advice to me.
My daughter was having a mental health crisis and suicidal idealizations. I was unsure of what to do when I learned of my daughter’s thoughts of harming herself. I immediately called Pam and she was able to talk me through steps of what questions to ask my daughter and after I gave her the answers she recommended I get my daughter to the ER. Pam continued to call and check up on me and my daughter through my daughter’s week stay in a hospital. Pam was sure to answer all of my questions and make sure that my daughter had appointments with her primary care physician and referrals for counseling sessions and psychiatry lined up so that my daughter would have all of the resources needed to succeed.
Pam realized how the pandemic school shut-downs and isolation from friends was a huge factor in my teenage daughter’s mental health. Pam did not brush off my daughter’s thoughts as teenage drama and Pam gave the best advice to me. If Pam had not have given the advice she gave to me my daughter may not be alive today as I would have waited until I could get an appointment with a counselor for my daughter. Pam still checks in on my family time-to-time and is always there to help me or my children with medical needs or a mental health crisis. Pam always listens always cares and will forever hold a special place in my families’ hearts.
