Wendy has been a wonderful preceptor and I feel very fortunate to have been able to train with her.
Wendy is very knowledgeable and proficient. She works well with others, adapting to policies that may not be consistent with other places she has worked. She is an advocate for her patients, seeking proper pain control and comfort.

In our present setting, we have travelers due to the influx of inexperienced staff. She has not hesitated to jump in and help teach. She shares valuable experiences when they arise. She is a mentor though, as a traveler, it’s not required of her. She'll take on the extra patient, even offers to at times to maintain "balance" in the assignment for the newer staff.

Wendy has been an amazing preceptor for all of us newer nurses. She brings so many skills and so much knowledge from all of her past experiences. I really feel like I have become a better nurse after working with her. She is always willing to lend a helping hand. After watching/assisting her to put IVs in the toughest patients, I think I have even become better at putting IVs in. I attribute a lot of the knowledge and skills that I have learned to her. She is a great asset to her travel agency and our hospital. I will be extremely sad when she leaves us!

Wendy has been a wonderful preceptor and I feel very fortunate to have been able to train with her. The knowledge, stories, and skills that she has taught me will be carried with me throughout my nursing career. Wendy is kind, compassionate and an advocate for all of her patients. All new nurses/new ICU nurses should have a preceptor like Wendy.
