You see, my husband wasn’t a trusting person to many people, but with Jimmie, he trusted him wholeheartedly.
I’m the wife of a patient that passed away, and I’m just now finding that I can talk about his death. After he passed, I was thinking about all of the trips to Memorial’s ER. The one thing that came out of those visits was the shining light of Mr. Albritton.
He and my husband became more than just nurse and patient. My husband trusted him, and Jimmie would talk to my husband and soothe his mind beyond being a nurse. My husband had PTSD, and as soon as we met Jimmie, I knew I could trust him with my husband. He went out of his way to help us, the whole family, every time we came. He never saw a different color in us. Jimmie treated him with respect.
When my husband came the last time, it was toward the end. He had to be placed in the ICU. Jimmie would check on him every time his shift was over. That made my husband’s last couple of days better. You see, my husband wasn’t a trusting person to many people, but with Jimmie, he trusted him wholeheartedly. He would always tell me, “I like him. We get along. LOL.” Every trip to the ER he would want to know if Jimmie would be his nurse. Thank you for hiring Jimmie. Memorial really has a gem and angel in the ER.
