My mother, Memaw, is currently in the ICU with COVID and pneumonia, fighting for her life. I am sending you this because I am beyond thankful for these nurses that I have never met nor know their last names, but I feel they deserve recognition for what they are doing daily in their patient care. It has been a difficult few days and this morning her oxygen numbers were quite low and dropping more. But this afternoon, a few things give us pause, including the "godly" care provided by Morgan Harris, RN. Morgan, this young nurse, has sort of adopted Memaw. She actually kneels by her bed and prays over her. Have you ever heard of such a thing? It's so powerful! Today Morgan pulled out her phone and played one of my mom's favorite praise songs, "Waymaker" while she fed her. And she wasn't even my mom's nurse today. God has been so gracious to provide us with a caring and spiritual nurse.
