You treat everybody with kindness and respect and have quite a knack for putting people at ease, even during what could quite possibly be the most stressful day of their lives.
Thank you for giving me the amazing opportunity of working with you. Over the past 2 months, I have been given a great privilege in becoming privy to your vast set of skills and knowledge. Over the course of the 144 hours spent on the Orange Coast Memorial Surgical unit, you granted me more insight into the role as a nurse than I have learned through any other clinical rotation. Through you, not only did I gain new knowledge and skills but, more importantly, your guidance allowed me to gain the confidence that had been lacking throughout my career as a student nurse.

I am immensely grateful to you for making my experience a positive one. From day one, you were excellent at pushing me to take charge of my own learning by allowing me to take lead yet guiding me when I needed direction. I appreciate that you challenged me to grow my critical thinking and exposed me to a myriad of encounters with patients and families to enable me to hone my skills in communication, listening, and creating an effective presence.

I was impressed by every aspect of your teaching, but most especially, with your interactions with your patients and their families. You treat everybody with kindness and respect and have quite a knack for putting people at ease, even during what could quite possibly be the most stressful day of their lives. Thank you for your eagerness in sharing your knowledge and time with me and challenging me to embrace the role of an independent nurse.
