Karen made sure we soaked up every moment we had left with mom.
Karen is extremely knowledgeable and has a true calling to be a Nurse. She was my angel on my darkest days. My mother wasn't doing well right before Christmas and when I arrived, Karen made sure to let me know how her morning had been and immediately let the doctor know I was there. A lot of hard decisions had to be made that day and due to COVID, I was my mom’s sole visitor during her stay. It was so hard to make those decisions without family nearby, but Karen laid out all my options (after the doctors talked to me) in a way that I could understand and helped guide me in knowing what would be the best options.

Karen was my angel that day. She came into the room to check on mom and would always made sure I was ok. She helped me see when times were good that I needed to get mom to call all her kids and grandkids so everyone could get their last conversations in with mom. Mom then went on to have a few good days before a sudden decline. Karen had not been on the schedule to work, but God’s timing is perfect. It was a Saturday and Karen was back. She once again explained in detail all our options for the best care for mom (comfort care then eventually hospice care). She helped me understand the differences between the two and made sure mom was comfortable at all times.

Karen went above and beyond and we will all be forever grateful for her love and compassion for mom. Even after mom became non-responsive, she would come in and talk to mom. Karen made sure we soaked up every moment we had left with mom. Thank you for all you did for mom and me.
