Laura Morano is Seattle Children’s Care Network’s (SCCN) RN Care Transformation Consultant who supports 14 independently owned primary care pediatric practices in the Pacific Northwest. Laura leverages her years of nursing leadership experience at Seattle Children’s to spearhead the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) implementation efforts for the teams at each practice. In this unique role, Laura helps practices implement new clinical workflows, process mapping, quality improvement, and change management. In addition, Laura leads and facilitates equity, diversity, and inclusion training across the SCCN. This is a challenging role that requires leading through influence by establishing strong relationships. Laura is a master at collaborating across teams, sites, and disciplines by inspiring people to implement a variety of initiatives and improvements. She is constantly finding new ways to help the practices improve care every day and helps them navigate the discomfort and challenges that come with change. Her leadership on equity, diversity, and inclusion helps the practices better understand the communities they serve and improves the experience and care for every child and family that receives care within the SCCN. Through Laura’s work, she impacts and improves the experience, care, and outcomes for over 100,000 kids, not to mention the work environment for those she works with.
