My son has been inpatient for almost six weeks. I think it's important to give feedback so I wanted to send along a note saying how much we LOVE and appreciate our nurse- Stephanie. We had Stephanie one of the first days we got to the unit and she was welcoming, friendly, sympathetic to our situation, responsive, and overall just a great nurse who clearly takes pride in what she does. As you can imagine, it is very difficult having your baby in the hospital, and commuting back and forth every day takes its toll. I feel better leaving my son at night (although it's not easy!) knowing that Stephanie is here taking care of him. We love how Stephanie describes in detail everything she does to take care of him. She even lays out a plan for the day when she comes into the hospital! That is SUPER helpful to us as parents so we can clearly see what our 24-hour goals are, what's going to happen throughout the afternoon, and how to set our expectations accordingly. Steph's work ethic, compassion, empathy, and positive attitude have made our stay here at Children's Hospital better than we could have imagined.
