Rebeca took roses out of her bouquet and gave them to this patient to help her feel better.
Rebeca always does an excellent job. During the COVID-19 surge, she volunteered to float to other areas in the hospital to help. One weekend when the postpartum dayshift was desperately short-staffed, she worked out of her comfort zone (which is typically working on the nightshift), working during the day on a Saturday and Sunday to help them out.
The Sunday she volunteered to assist the dayshift, happened to also be Saint Valentine’s Day and her boyfriend sent a beautiful bouquet of roses to our unit. Rebeca was caring for a patient who was crying and very sad because she could not be discharged that day. Rebeca took roses out of her bouquet and gave them to this patient to help her feel better. That is the kind of behavior that Rebeca is known for on our service.
The day shift staff want to steal her from us. She is an extremely hard worker, who is compassionate, friendly, and kind-hearted.
