She was very reassuring and told me not to get discouraged that my baby boy was going at his own pace and was doing well at that.
While I've been in the NICU with my son, we've had Nurse Hayley four times. Each and every time, she's been punctual, kind, and offered both my husband and I tips on having our first newborn baby. One morning I had woken up and my son had his feeding tube back in, (he had pulled it out the night before but had eaten his whole bottle, thus they didn't have to put it in just yet). Being a mother, I was upset and began to cry and break down a little bit on Ms. Hayley. She was very reassuring and told me not to get discouraged that my baby boy was going at his own pace and was doing well at that. This little act of kindness meant far more than I think she knows.
