Nate clearly understood that caring for someone's medical needs included caring for their psychological needs as well.
Nate cared for my husband 3 days after his appendectomy (my husband is 71). Nate was professionally attentive and provided excellent bedside care but more importantly, was the care and compassion he demonstrated throughout the day. During each and every trip into my husband's room to give meds, manage IVs or empty his drains, he always asked if he could do anything to make him more comfortable and also questioned if I needed anything. He clearly understood that caring for someone's medical needs included caring for their psychological needs as well. Nate is an exemplary nurse and a shining star within the nursing profession.
