She is truly an admired role model for all of us, maintaining the spirit of the Mayo organization by placing the patient first but also placing her people first. … Many times, she covered our shifts, took on-call status, flexed her personal schedule, made herself available for counsel, and never complained or expressed any frustration. We have never heard a negative word come from Kasey. She always made time to ask us how we were doing, what we thought about processes, and sought our input into problem-solving. … She truly exemplifies the meaning and intent of The DAISY Nurse Leader Award through her own example of excellence in care for our patients and her people."
