I want to recognize a moment of care that Jennifer Hying provided for a patient who was helpless, confused, and unable to advocate for himself. The gentlemen appeared in the ER unable to identify himself or recall any personal information. To the best of the caregiver's knowledge, he may have been a silver alert. He was found wandering the streets in the winter increasingly altered and unaware of where he came from or where he was going. He had no form of ID and was unable to provide his personal information. We could not recall his history in Epic without this information or a good contact person or representative of his. Jenny was kind and patient and worked with this patient to provide him the best care. With her help and some investigative work, we were able to find his information in Epic. Jenny was able to find his contact person and was able to get more information to help this patient. She was doing wonderful one-on-one care and went above and beyond to keep this patient safe.
