Watching Beth provide care to many patients over the years, it's clear to me and others that she is a caring, kind, compassionate individual.
This nurse's clinical skill and especially her compassionate care exemplify the kind of nurse that our patients, their families, and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model. She consistently meets all of the following criteria: Dedication Exemplifies "excellence always" with peers, co-workers, patients, and families; serves as a role model to others; extraordinary compassion and skills; generates enthusiasm and energy towards meeting the challenges of nursing.

Beth has been a nurse for longer than many of her co-workers have been alive! She has worked at WCGH for 21 years now, and in addition, has served Coastal Healthcare Alliance by working at Pen Bay for 7 years previously. Her pure length of employment shows quiet dedication, but the fact that she's been "retired" for almost 2 years now, but still works frequently, is true commitment. Beth is certainly a role model in our unit because she is well-educated and very experienced. She's definitely a go-to in many areas if you ever need help or advice. She has an abundance of knowledge and certainly possesses great nursing and caregiving skills. Beth was trained as our unit's EPIC supervisor, and she is capable of working in ACA PACU, and procedure room. Watching Beth provide care to many patients over the years, it's clear to me and others that she is a caring, kind, compassionate individual. Her patients certainly benefit from her top-notch care, and working alongside Beth is a privilege to her co-workers. Beth remains a strong, important part of our team - and I believe she's long overdue for being recognized.

A recent challenge in our unit involved being short staffed due to COVID regulations, illness, maternity leaves, etc. Beth has picked up many shifts, stayed past her scheduled time, and even picked up call shifts. She remains flexible, helpful, and a great asset to our team! For decades now Beth has been a true DAISY Nurse.
