Kelly stayed late 2 hours - on a Friday - to help out the department.
Since I joined the radiology department in a leadership position, Kelly has been a dedicated mentor to me. Kelly made my transition from the ED to Radiology a flawless transition. Before my actual start date Kelly would reach out to include me in any decisions that she felt were important and could affect my overall happiness within the department. By the time it came for me to start my first day in radiology I was so at ease knowing I had her support, and she would be by my side along the way in my new journey.
Well that was a year ago now and over this past year I have had the opportunity to witness first-hand Kelly’s compassion for patients, love for her co-workers, and empathy for all. Kelly is caring, loving, and has a passion in her heart for all mankind that makes her the truly special person she is. This department, hospital, and community are truly blessed to have this wonderful nurse working with us. Kelly gives 100% all the time. She will offer a helping hand when needed.
A few weeks ago I had a late afternoon ER patient that needed an RN to remain with the patient for the two hours my exam would take. The ER did not have any available RNs due to their patient volume. They asked if one of the Radiology RNs could cover for them. I asked Kelly, she got overtime approved and stayed with my patient until the study was finished. She stayed late 2 hours - on a Friday - to help out the department. She is truly dedicated. She lives the FHP Mission: “People First; Community-Focused; Excellence every time!
