I am an 86-year-old man who has seen the inside of hospitals at least six times for in-house procedures, so I have some experience and opinions regarding the level and quality of care received there. Most recently, I was admitted to Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton, Virginia, for what turned out to be gall bladder removal surgery and, while there, I was attended by several personnel including the one whom I hold far above all others in the level and quality care she gave me. As one of the attending surgical nurses, Linda Godfrey made my stay so much better than it might have been because of her superior responsiveness and demonstrated caring service, done despite her obvious heavy workload. It takes some doing to be able to make the person in the bed feel better simply because of your presence and actions and Nurse Godfrey demonstrated this ability in spades!
