Marlyn's care and dedication to the patients, staff, and her family have been unwavering throughout the pandemic.
Nurses are strong, resilient, adaptive, compassionate, and empathetic. Marlyn Cuerquis exemplifies all of these characteristics and many more during the last year as we all battled the COVID-19 pandemic. Marlyn Cuerquis has stepped up as our All-Star role model. Marlyn almost effortlessly adapted to the numerous changes we all experienced in healthcare. Guided by her faith and work ethic, she was a beacon of comfort to staff, patients, and her family as she battled COVID in the workplace and on the home front.
Each time she donned her PPE and/or followed the myriad of COVID protocols, she was unwittingly providing an example for myself and other staff members. We looked to her as a standard of how our practice should be appropriately performed. Throughout the pandemic, Marlyn was consistently and reliably called upon for difficult IV sticks, blood draws, and any other situation in which an extra set of eyes or an extra set of hands were needed. Without even knowing, Marlyn was making and helping all of us work better and provide better care for our patients and ourselves. Marlyn's care and dedication to the patients, staff, and her family have been unwavering throughout the pandemic. I personally wanted to thank Marlyn for the hard work she does every day for her family and her patients. She has truly been a Godsend through the pandemic and deserves recognition! Thank you!
