I noticed a lump in my son’s side. We immediately went to our family physician - as a mother the news was a complete nightmare. My strong, healthy son was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. To say that we were numb was a complete understatement. Within a few days, we were meeting with the doctor. Accompanying him was Nicole. She said. “I am your nurse - I will be with you every step of the way - day or night I am here for you.” Wow! She meant every word she said - she joined us when we saw the surgeon who would be doing the biopsy. When I had questions, I could email her and within minutes I either had a phone call back or email with an answer. She instantly became a part of our family. She helped us with everything - prescriptions, arranging appointments - you name it. GFH is so incredibly blessed to have this woman, this educator, this kind, caring, soul on staff. I tell everyone that yes my son has cancer but he has the most amazing nurse ever!!
