My special needs 45-year-old son was admitted to GSAM for his 8th admit since February 2020. Every time he has received excellent care from the nurses and PCAs. On this admit he was privileged to have Betsy as his nurse. She has such a sunny attitude that brightened our day every time she came into the room. She is exceptionally caring and professionally thorough. She always wanted to know what we needed and was as concerned for me as she was for my son. She facilitated connecting with the specialists who were called in on his case and kept me updated on when they would be able to see him. In addition, the day his infectious disease specialists saw him at 11:00 am to authorize discharge, Betsy knew that my son's primary doctor wouldn't make rounds until later in the afternoon. She called his doctor to see if she would verbally sign off so that we could go home sooner. My son has had over 40 hospitalizations in his life so I know an exceptional nurse. She is the Best. We are so grateful to have had her care for two days.
