I returned to Providence Hospital for the 3rd time this month. I was assigned, Nurse Kayla Pugh. When she came in my room at the beginning of the shift and introduced herself, I responded being my normal goofy upbeat and spontaneous self, (caught her off guard) but as the day went on, Kayla was extremely personable, helpful, and knowledgeable as well as taking time out to listen to me and what I’ve been experiencing through this month-long ordeal that I’ve been on at this hospital. At approximately 10 or 11 am, I was experiencing extreme pain due to my injuries and Kayla was prompt to be of service to help me off the toilet and into bed, she then immediately got in touch with Pain Management and Internal Medicine to find the cause of my pain and get it under control. She stayed beside me and promptly administered the pain meds, explained how to take them and what each one did. This nurse is definitely phenomenal and made me feel very comfortable and cared for. I know that she is destined for greatness in the healthcare field.
