Kaitlyn identified that one of our 3-year-old post-op CV surgery patients was exhibiting signs and symptoms of delirium. She collaborated with the other specialties to create a schedule for the patient, allotting times for uninterrupted rest, movement, and play. She was a true patient advocate and did a great job normalizing this patient’s experience while at CMHH. The surgical and intensive care teams were very appreciative of her proactive approach in the care of the patient. We value Kaitlyn for leading by example and providing exceptional patient-centered care in the PICU!
