During my stay I was at a low point, and was ready to give up, I had reached the end point. I wanted to go to hospice and just fade away. Travis was one of the nurses who helped me while I was there. Travis was always upbeat, but also always understood the energy in the room. Travis noticed where I was and went out of his way to sit with me and listen to everything I had to say. He didn’t tell me I was wrong for feeling the way I did, and I appreciated that. Instead, he validated me. When I was done talking, Travis told me he understood why I felt that way, but one thing he said was, “I can tell you now, your heart is too strong, and it won’t give up now.” Everything Travis said lifted my spirits. Because of the time he spent with me, and the understanding and feedback I received, I decided to move forward with physical therapy and keep going. Travis was perfect!
