Rogo is one of the most compassionate, selfless, and caring nurses that I have the honor of working with and learning from.
Rogo was the PACU nurse that was in the house the night that a mother and her son were brought to one of her rooms so the mom could say goodbye to her child before his procurement. The mother decided to stay until he was pronounced. I don't know how the stars aligned that night the way they did but I am beyond grateful that Rogo was there. She sat with the mother, providing her with comfort through a place to lay down and an ear to listen. I cannot imagine exactly what that parent was feeling during those moments, but just knowing Rogo was there with her gives me hope that she was at peace - even if was for a short period of time.
Rogo is one of the most compassionate, selfless, and caring nurses that I have the honor of working with and learning from; she is always available to help and do whatever she can do for her patients and colleagues. If I could be half the nurse and positive and intelligent person that she is I would consider myself successful. Turning the corner in purple PACU and seeing her smiling face makes me excited every time.
