This thank you is way overdue. I want to thank you for all your help while I was in the Rehab Center. It was a wonderful day when I met you, as you were helping my roommate. I couldn't help but realize by the soothing, kind nature of your voice, that you were dedicated to assisting patients in whatever ways possible.
When we met I was very upset because they informed me of my discharge date. I knew I was in no shape to go home. One of the big problems was that my colostomy appliance constantly leaked. After talking with you, you concurred that I needed more care, PT & OT, before going home. You became my very forceful advocate and told Administration that if they released me, I would be back in the ER the next day. Because of your intervention, I was able to do 2 more chemo treatments and get much stronger. I feel that you saved my life, Pat. You also went above and beyond and arranged for an Ostomy RN to come to the facility and solve the recurrent problem of my leaking colostomy appliance. Because of Valley Home Care, I am very independent and can mostly do whatever is needed to live as long and happy, fulfilling a life as possible.
