We know that Bella will pick up on subtle changes in our mom's condition and communicate those updates to both her doctor and our family.
Fusun (Bella) has been an exceptional nurse for our mom. She consistently goes above and beyond and is an excellent teacher for our mom's live-in caregiver. When our caregiver was nervous about using oxygen for the first time, I was at work and Bella offered and rescheduled her appointments that day, so she could go back to my mom's house to teach the caregiver when and how to use the oxygen, along with the other hospice meds when the time was appropriate. This allowed me (also a nurse) to stay at work, knowing that my mom was receiving Bella's skilled nursing assessment and that she would let me know if my mom's condition had deteriorated; that her family should urgently come or not. Turned out that Mom had more of a panic attack and only briefly needed the oxygen, but we will never forget how caring and kind Bella has been to our mom, her live-in caregiver, and our entire family. We know that Bella will pick up on subtle changes in our mom's condition and communicate those updates to both her doctor and our family.

Bella started as our mom's home health nurse, transitioned to her Palliative Care RN and eventually her hospice nurse. At one time, the Hospice Dept. wanted to change our mom's nurse to a hospice-only nurse, but we called and requested Bella as her lead nurse. although the other nurses were competent, they did not possess Bella's amazing assessment skills, thoughtfulness, and humor, even at some of the most difficult moments.

Our mom is doing so well now that hospice discharged her back to palliative care and we think a lot of the credit goes to Bella's excellent care. We have laughed and cried together. Bella is a true DAISY Nurse.
