A very young nurse and mother of three small children came to our O.R. for a colonoscopy and received a very difficult diagnosis. Linda was very comforting to the patient and the spouse during this difficult time. The following day, during the follow-up call with the patient, Linda spent a tremendous amount of time on the phone with the patient, providing words of encouragement, comfort, and just simply listening.
