Rhonda was one of my nurses and my fiancé’s nurse. Rhonda was so kind, using an attentive soft voice, answered my questions on medications given, displaying with her mannerisms that she truly cared. She told me what her plan of care was for that day, returning when she said she would reassess my needs, and just showed genuine attentiveness and kindness. A true healthcare professional. G called me from his hospital room and told me Rhonda helped him change his bedsheets because he got urine incontinent from being so sick with COVID. He could barely breathe and was so anxious. Rhonda was in G’s room also when he and I spoke of his sadness thinking he wasn’t going to make it. Rhonda was so kind and sensitive to our loss of control with our illness. G said that Rhonda was thoughtful and kind to him. Which made him feel valued. We were both very sick with COVID pneumonia. We knew this was serious. We all encountered good and kind nurses here at NNRH. I acknowledge them all for their professionalism, courteousness, and attention. Yet Rhonda was super special. G, in his last days here on earth, asked me to acknowledge Rhonda! Thank you, Rhonda.
