Shannon was my nurse after surgery. She never hesitated when I needed something or if I had questions that I couldn’t quite articulate because of the anesthesia. She took the time to be with me even when I needed some privacy. Sometimes it really is the little things that mean the most and when my nausea was getting the best of me she got me more crackers and ginger ale. I know many would say that it is her job, but it was the care that came with it that mattered. The fact that she saw I needed something and did it and I didn’t have to ask.
