Our son was born and in what in all ways appeared perfectly healthy. Due to my exhaustion level after the baby was fed, just a few hours after birth, I asked Abbey to take him to the nursery. A half-hour later she came back to let us know he was in the NICU. She had noticed his color was a bit off, so she checked his oxygen level and it was 60, seriously low, even though all his regular vitals were great. She made this early catch and within 12 hours of his birth his heart condition was diagnosed and he was stable. We are so thankful for her observation, great care, and follow-through.
