The bond between Ruth and our family grew quickly and effortlessly.
My daughter, M, spent a total of 18 days in the St. Paul NICU and Ruth was our primary nurse for 6 days. The bond between Ruth and our family grew quickly and effortlessly. Her knowledge of lactation, breastfeeding, and pumping was necessary for M and I to learn together. Ruth’s expert advice gave us a strong foundation to continue once at home. She let us, as parents, lead the way during bath time, diaper changes, and feedings with her guidance. She helped us become strong advocates for M. Ruth took time out of her busy home life to call into M’s care conference. When we had to make hard decisions on M’s care, Ruth was there encouraging us. We are grateful for our extraordinary experience in the NICU, thanks to Ruth.
