Stephanie took the extra time to talk and tell a patient story that was comparable to our situation and helped us to make a personal connection. She really has a gift for calming your fears.
Stephanie took excellent care of my daughter. She took the time to explain the importance of staying on a pain med regimen and weaning schedule. When physical therapy was not available, she took the time to walk with my daughter, encouraging her and she ended up walking the farthest she had since the accident. Towards the end of her stay, she noticed my daughter was upset and anxious about her discharge. Stephanie jumped right in to help us troubleshoot the next steps for therapy after leaving the hospital. She partnered with the physician, physical therapist, and the case manager to provide a back up plan. After that, my daughter and I both felt very much at peace about going home. Stephanie took the extra time to talk and tell a patient story that was comparable to our situation and helped us to make a personal connection. She really has a gift for calming your fears when you need it the most and thus makes the healing process go smoother.

There are no words that can truly express what Stephanie did for me and how special she made me feel. I have never met someone who cares about what she does as much as she does. I will forever be grateful and disliked the fact that once I left the hospital, she would not be a part of my daily life but a great memory. MVH, you have done an outstanding job in whom you pick to give care to patients. I really appreciate everything Stephanie has done for me and this award was made especially for her. Please continue to be you, Stephanie, and never let anyone change your heart for the care you have for patients. You are a ROCKSTAR!!!!
