Kevin goes the extra mile always - too many times to name. These random acts of kindness are what make Kevin a rare jewel.
Kevin is literally one of the most compassionate nurses I have had the honor to meet. He will drop whatever he is doing to make sure he meets the needs of his fellow coworkers, patients, and family members. I have watched this nurse go to Harris Teeter and buy patients grapes because they say they haven't had grapes in years. A patient told Kevin that he wanted to smell extra good for his girlfriend and he went to CVS and brought him a body spray set. The patient was so grateful he cried. Kevin goes the extra mile always - too many times to name. These random acts of kindness are what make Kevin a rare jewel. I can speak for the whole floor when I say that Kevin is so special to 3 South. We call Kevin the "IV Guru" if you need an IV put in, Kevin is the man to call. He is also very knowledgeable of many illnesses, anything chronic going on with his patients he is going to take care of it immediately. Any nurse on the floor can call Kevin about anything critical and he is right by their side helping until the patient is transferred or the problem is solved. Kevin is so eager to learn, his thirst for knowledge is admirable. His patients or their families can ask Kevin anything and if there is something that he cannot answer, he will jump through hoops to figure out an answer. Kevin always reassures his patients and their families that he will get whatever they are worried about taken care of so they can have some kind of peace. When patients are in his care, they rarely complain because he is on top of any issue they are concerned about. Kevin is an angel on earth, to know him is to love him. His laugh and personality are infectious! Anytime you know you are going to have a bad night you can look on the assignment board see Kevin’s name and instantly joy fills your heart. I hope that everyone gets the chance to be cared for by him or a chance to work with him. It is truly an honor to be Kevin’s colleague!
