Brooke talked me through everything and I looked forward to her patient care.
First, let me start by saying that this hospital has always had wonderful and highly skilled nurses and support staff. I know this is very late, however, I still feel that one of my main nurses, Brooke, was a saving grace during my abdominal surgery and needs to be recognized for her care. I feel she went above and beyond the required care. This was during COVID restrictions and patients couldn't have the normal visitors and visitation.
Let me tell you if it wasn't for Brooke, I really feel that I would have been in the hospital even longer and with an even more difficult recovery. It was already tough physically and mentally. Brooke talked me through everything and I looked forward to her patient care. It was one of the brightest spots in an already blue and stormy stay (and I've had way too many in the last few years). She really went above and beyond and took her time to help me through a very difficult recovery. She took the time to explain things, and to just talk to me especially on the more difficult days when I felt like the hospital stay would never end. I believe she has left 3 North as I have seen her in the surgical area, and 3 North has definitely lost a very caring and wonderful nurse.
