Megan always took the time to provide individualized care. Megan treated my grandma like a family member.
Megan was the primary nurse for my grandmother’s oncologist. My grandma was a patient for the past 5 years and she spoke about Megan to the family often. Megan always took the time to provide individualized care. She used her assessment skills to look past the symptoms that my grandma was reporting and dig deep to make sure she was comfortable and understood her treatment. Megan treated my grandma like a family member. At the end of my grandma’s life, she was admitted to the hospital and it seemed like coordination of care was lacking. Megan pulled through. She spoke to the RN at the hospital as well as the radiation oncologist and palliative care team. She listened to our concerns and acted on them. She got us answers as well as got the ball rolling for us to be able to bring my grandma home so she did not have to die alone in the hospital. I will always be thankful and appreciative to Megan for the care she provided. She truly made a difference in my grandma’s life.
