Aly was professional and thorough in explaining to me my upcoming test. Her attitude towards her job and me put my concerns to rest and made me feel at ease.
I would like to thank my nurse Aly. Aly attended to me in the Ambulatory Care Unit on Monday morning. I was brought there at 8:45 am for my endoscopy procedure. Aly was professional and thorough in explaining to me my upcoming test. Her attitude towards her job and me put my concerns to rest and made me feel at ease. My endoscopy procedure was delayed due to patients scheduled before me and Aly was mindful of that. She periodically walked by and smiled and updated me and asked if I was comfortable even as she was attending to the other Ambulatory Care unit incoming patients. I watched her work during my 2 1/2 hours of waiting time. Her upbeat joyful attitude was not directed only to the patients, she was equally cheerful, respectful, and considerate to her fellow colleagues on the busy ambulatory care unit floor.
The next morning again I was sent down to the same area, this time for a colonoscopy. Aly was once again there to greet me, in fact she told me she would also be the attending nurse during the procedure in the colonoscopy examination room along with the other team members. I could tell she was well respected by her colleagues in the way they spoke to her and how they worked together. I am very thankful for my nurse Alyssa Reichard during those two mornings and would like to recognize her for her compassion, professionalism, and especially for her warm people skills, her ability to connect with people through her simple actions not just words. Aly made a meaningful difference to me during a difficult period.
