Within just a few minutes with Marlys, we each felt as if she were our family and she was just as concerned for dad as we were.
After being in lock down at St. Luke’s for over a year, my dad was admitted to Good Sam, and we were finally able to get in to be near him and touch him. My family was surprised to see how much he had deteriorated and felt a little lost, confused, and helpless as to how we were to help care for and love him through this. Marlys stepped in and with such grace and love for dad and all of us, she kept us informed of Dad’s condition, she showed us how to take care and love him in his frail state. She reassured us when we doubted our capabilities. No matter how busy she was, she always spent as much time as we needed answering our questions and making sure we felt comfortable before leaving us. Within just a few minutes with Marlys, we each felt as if she were our family and she was just as concerned for dad as we were. She has become a part of our family and we thank god for giving us this fit. We love you Marlys!
