During the scariest point in my life thus far, Alicia was a comforting constant.
A mother’s worst fear is hearing her newborn child is sick and needs to be transported for additional care soon after birth. After being released from the hospital myself, I came to Nemours and was greeted by our nurse, Alicia. I could immediately tell that Alicia genuinely cared for our son. Over the course of our week stay, she was very attentive, caring and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. In addition, she took the time to explain everything that was going on with our son and left my husband and me feeling confident that our baby boy was on the mend. I am not sure what lead Alicia to be a NICU nurse, but she has definitely found her calling. During the scariest point in my life thus far, Alicia was a comforting constant. I am not sure that I will ever find the words to thank her enough for going above and beyond. Alicia is a true asset to Nemours, and I pray that she is fully recognized for her care.
