She was patient and attentive and responded quickly every time an issue came up. If I couldn’t be there for my little boy, I would hope that he had a nurse like McKenna to take care of him.
McKenna went above and beyond her duty and was cheerful, kind, and very comforting to my little boy. She remembered his name and took special care to make sure he had everything he needed and that he felt safe and cared for. But what I especially noticed was that she has a special ability to calm children who are scared and distraught. Her calm and kind tone of voice and her demeanor are healing all by themselves. When the mother of the roommate for my child needed to leave to get some rest, the little child went through a very rough time and needed care almost constantly. I’m sure McKenna was busy and had other patients to care for but McKenna was like an angel to this little person. She was patient and attentive and responded quickly every time an issue came up. If I couldn’t be there for my little boy, I would hope that he had a nurse like McKenna to take care of him. She absolutely deserves to be honored and celebrated. And while she was pulling extra duty to care for the little person who was struggling. She never missed a beat with my son. She treated him like he was her only patient. I wouldn’t have known she had such a needy patient if we weren’t sharing a room. She is wonderful.
