Mariah was only concerned with staff and patient safety working far over her shift to ensure all critical patients had all orders carried out prior to leaving.
Mariah was an exceptional support one day. During this morning, dayshift was short, we had 3 critical patients at shift change, as well as the charge nurse having patients. Mariah assisted with an RTT - critical orders, medications, charge nurse responsibilities, and administering stat blood products. Mariah was only concerned with staff and patient safety working far over her shift to ensure all critical patients had all orders carried out prior to leaving. When thanking her, Mariah only said, “we are a team and that’s what we do for each other.” Mariah was vital, ensuring that the day shift nurse was set up before leaving, staying several hours past shift when this wasn’t a requirement. This is a strong leadership quality and drive to ensure all patients were taken care of safely.
