Karen would ask several times if I truly followed her questioning.
My nurse, Karen Nunn, has been exemplary, although everyone has been very helpful and pleasant. Karen has spent time ensuring I understood each and every direction given to me. I recognize it is the function for all nurses/doctors to do this, but Karen would ask several times if I truly followed her questioning. She knew I was somewhat confused and concerned. Karen also made sure I was comfortable and feeling okay throughout my stay. She made sure I had my hospital toiletries and washing materials. This really helped me get through this visit since there are so many variables affecting us all right now, i.e., the coronavirus and the flu. Great kudos to the staff on each shift that handled my care, but Karen was outstanding. I didn’t expect such great warmth because everyone, especially in health care, is carrying a tremendous load. Because of my treatment at Saint Peter’s, it reassured my need to keep all of you in my prayers, even as I am on the road to recovery.
