As a charge nurse, Maria is committed to the well-being of her staff and naturally fosters teamwork amongst us.
Maria has a caring and compassionate presence that is contagious amongst the staff. She is acutely attentive to the needs of her patients and her staff, and she goes above and beyond to make sure all are well taken care of. Patients speak very highly of her and always feel comfortable in her care, knowing that they will be cared for efficiently, thoughtfully, and with a high level of attention to detail. As a charge nurse, she is committed to the well-being of her staff and naturally fosters teamwork amongst us. She is excellent at anticipating the needs of her staff, and she advocates tirelessly for both patient and staff needs. As a superuser, she was committed to not only being an expert herself but also making sure each of us became Epic experts so we could continue to care for our patients to the best of our abilities. She is committed to learning something new every day, and she teaches in a very accessible and humble manner. She is overall fun, thoughtful, approachable, and dedicated to her patients and staff. Her presence always lightens the mood--she is a joy to work with.
