From the moment I spoke to her, I felt very comfortable that Shelley was our nurse for the day.
My husband was brought to the ER on Sunday. They did tests and found quickly he had a brain tumor and admitted him. I called the 3rd floor on Monday and I was told that Shelley was his nurse. From the moment I spoke to her, I felt very comfortable that she was our nurse for the day. When I met her, I was delighted and knew he would be well cared for. I took a break from the hospital feeling assured that she would take good care of him. She fixed me coffee and offered to help me in any way she could. My husband is a tough cookie. She tried to help him understand what she was doing but to no avail. With the brain tumor, he was confused. She was patient, kind, and very understanding. We are waiting for a bed at Norfolk General and she keeps me updated and understands how hard this is for me. I would like to thank her from the bottom of my heart. I know she was meant to be a nurse. She made our stay at this hospital very pleasant. This was our first time at this hospital.
