Jena followed the patient to the OR and went above and beyond staying at the patient’s side.
A patient called me weeks after her scheduled procedure to ensure I knew about the wonderful care she received from Jena. During a frightening life-threatening event, Jena kept the patient calm and provided reassurance while acting quickly and using excellent critical thinking skills. Jena was an excellent patient advocate and promptly requested anesthesia and the patient’s surgeon at the bedside to discuss all the interventions she had provided and the patient was still unstable. It was then decided that the patient needed to return to surgery immediately. Jena followed the patient to the OR and went above and beyond staying at the patient’s side. The following day, Jena went to the patient’s room to check on her. The patient told me how much of an impact that made on her experience.
