Stephanie was supposed to end her shift at 7 pm, she was still with me and prepping for the epidural at 8 pm.
I came in to have our third baby. My water had broken, but I wasn’t progressing, so Stephanie ran the tests, got me admitted, and hooked up to Pitocin to get things moving. She was so warm, friendly, authentic, and kind throughout the process. My husband and I immediately felt well cared for and were bummed to know we caught her at the end of her shift. However, my labor progressed very quickly from there and her steady presence kept me laughing between contractions (kind of) and relaxed through the intense labor pains. I was solely focused on making it through until the anesthesiologist arrived for my epidural.

She called for help and then caught him because the doctor did not have enough time to get there! She then stayed even longer to make sure baby and I were ok after such an exciting and surprising experience! We felt so cared for, she made sure our needs were met and exceeded before heading home that night. She was the perfect calming and positive presence we needed to get through that crazy experience. We appreciate her willingness to stay with us and give us the best care while we stayed at Zeeland!
