Marites takes great pride in immersing herself in her patients’ charts and evaluations to ensure they receive the best chance at receiving a life-changing and life-saving transplant.
I have come to know Marites over the last 11 months within University Transplant Center. She is a passionate Transplant Nurse Coordinator who works very closely with our patients that need a kidney transplant. I have always known her to be knowledgeable about transplant and about every patient she works with. She takes great pride in immersing herself in her patients’ charts and evaluations to ensure they receive the best chance at receiving a life-changing and life-saving transplant. She often works very closely with our transplant recipients who have a living donor. Our transplant recipients go through a very thorough, rigorous, and often complicated evaluation. These evaluations often occur quickly, in order to facilitate the living donation transplant. While her patients tend to be our most complex, she always ensures these patients get safely to transplant. She does all this while still mentoring and assisting her peers and sharing her passion for transplant with the community. She exemplifies the dedication and commitment that the patients of University Transplant Center and University Health deserve.
