Not only does Caitlin strive to better herself but she also loves to teach new nurses and students; she truly finds joy in helping others achieve their goals.
Caitlin exemplifies a DAISY Nurse in every aspect of its meaning. She is a kind, caring, and empathetic individual. She is a nurse who goes above and beyond in every interaction - to make sure that her patient is receiving the exemplary care that they each deserve, and she is sure to make it known not only to herself but to every individual that is involved in the patient's care. I have seen many instances where Caitlin will reach out to the physician repeatedly without a second thought; if she sees a change in her patient's status that she believes should be addressed. Even if her concerns are ignored, she will continue to advocate for her patient no matter the issue and will not stop until she sees the corrective action taken. Witnessing her interactions with patients always brings a smile to my face because I can see how happy they are to have a kind and passionate nurse. Caitlin once mentioned to a patient how much she enjoys reading during her free time, and this patient (only having had Caitlin as his nurse once or twice), had mailed her a few of his favorite books to read, on numerous occasions. This alone is a testament to the profound impact that Caitlin had on the care he received. Not only does she strive to better herself but she also loves to teach new nurses and students; she truly finds joy in helping others achieve their goals. Her orientees can attest to what a wonderful nurse she is and how helpful she has been to their learning process. Working beside Caitlin is a blessing, she is a team player. She is always one of the first people in the room during an emergent situation and will help without hesitation. She is never afraid to ask questions and understands that nursing is a continuous learning process. She is a determined nurse and deserves to be recognized for the compassionate care that she provides to each of her patients.
