Tara then made me a cup of tea and told me to sit up in the chair and think about being at home on my porch, which did calm my heart and my soul.
I was admitted into the ICU with COVID. I was scared and I couldn't breathe. Tara is the nurse I remember the most; she was compassionate and instructed me on how to get better. She continued to call me and tell me to breathe in through my nose and out my through mouth. She also told me to roll to my side and get off my back so that it would not settle in my lungs. At one point, they gave me IV steroids which made me feel strange and she explained to me that I needed them they were helping my lungs and to think about what I would be doing if I was at home. I told her I'd probably having a cup of tea and sitting on my porch. Tara then made me a cup of tea and told me to sit up in the chair and think about being at home on my porch, which did calm my heart and my soul. All the nurses were wonderful all the people that worked there were wonderful. She stood out because she was compassionate but yet strong and she helped me to be the same. I believe she went beyond the call of duty especially with a simple cup of tea which worked wonders.
