Bethany showed a tremendous amount of care and compassion for this patient and functioned like she was an ED nurse every day.
Bethany is a wonderful nurse and team member. Recently, Bethany was scheduled to work in her home unit - L&D. However, there was a call-out in the ED and she was asked to go there to assist since she had worked in the ED previously. Bethany did so willingly and assisted in the ED for the whole night. In the early hours of the morning, a patient in critical condition arrived and Bethany assumed care of this patient and stayed past her shift time to ensure East Care got out of the building with this patient okay. Bethany showed a tremendous amount of care and compassion for this patient and functioned like she was an ED nurse every day. This situation represents integrity, compassion, teamwork, safety, and accountability. Bethany's behavior and care exemplify adherence to the highest clinical and ethical standards of the nursing profession. Bethany always goes above and beyond for her patients. I've seen her countless times perform duties that go beyond nursing. She is the epitome of a team player, a caring person, and a DAISY Nurse. She is always willing to listen and lend a hand. She is patient and kind! She is well-deserving. I've seen her comb and wash hair, assist officers in taking patients home without rides. I've seen her switch to work holidays so that other coworkers can spend time with their families. Bethany is amazing.
