She is always the first person by your side when something is wrong with a patient, and the last one to leave you when it’s over… She cares for every single patient and family member who passes through her unit, and she inspires her staff to truly care.

Jordan’s compassion for the patients and families of CICU is immeasurable. She takes the time to make sure each family knows her name, she steps in with her nurses during time of distress, and she strives to make sure her patients receive the highest level of care.

Jordan has fostered a conducive environment for learning and growth on her unit as well. She is welcoming and supportive to nursing students through their clinicals, preceptorships, first nursing position, and continued education. Nursing instructors and students alike have expressed their gratitude for creating such a genuine culture that is unlike any other they have seen.

Jordan has created a family in CICU. A family that works together through thick and thin and whatever comes their way. A family that supports each other and always works together to succeed in patient care. That family would not exist without Jordan.

She is our boss, colleague, mom, teacher, light, and friend. She is outstanding! Jordan is the definition of a DAISY Nurse Leader. She leads by example and models extraordinary care to her staff, patients, and colleagues. Her dedication has developed an environment that fosters quality care and compassion, which is evidenced by the 11 honorees and 14 nominees within Grandview’s three-year DAISY program. The systemic care that is provided throughout CICU is indicative of Jordan’s leadership style which fosters trust, compassion, mutual respect, and professional development. Jordan is genuinely engaged with her staff, patients, and their families. She has a servant's heart, which shines through all that she does.
