Tracy demonstrated compassion. She went out of her way to bring me a sleeping mask, lavender lotion, and earplugs.
When I came into the ER at a different facility, there were no available beds in ICU, so I was to be transferred to Aurora Lakeland ICU and admitted for Pulmonary Emboli. I spent all night in the ER and was transferred at 6 am to Lakeland. I was awake that night in ER and the entire day in ICU. Tracy came on at 1900 and she was aware that I was having trouble sleeping. Tracy demonstrated compassion. She called the HCP and got something to help me sleep. She also went out of her way to bring me a sleeping mask, lavender lotion, and earplugs. Tracy understood I really needed sleep but let me know ahead of time when the next blood draw would be. She clustered her cares around the time of the blood draw (0400) so I would be able to get back to sleep. I thought she was caring, kind, and went above and beyond to help me. She also played relaxing music on the computer. I’m sure she is kind to all her patients. Thank you!!
